Muck Estate Boat 1922
Muck Estate boat. Hugh MacKinnon remembers clearly that this picture was taken in 1922 – the year he sat the bursary exam in Eigg. Here the boat is going from Muck to Rum. Kenneth MacKinnon, shepherd on Muck, is at the back of the boat, and he is leaving Muck for a new position on Rum. At the left-hand end of the picture is Lachlan MacDonald who was managing the farm on Muck for the MacEwens. (His father Charles originally came to Muck as a shepherd.) The lady in the middle is Jessie MacDonald
